Age Spots / Pigmentation

hyperpigmentation 1 before

You may have sun-derived or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) if the areas of pigmentation are like freckles, are more apparent with sun exposure and not usually symmetrical on the face. They can appear as a larger cluster of pigmentation in some areas.

Inflammation from the sun, or chemical peels and lasers, can result in a wound that does not heal. Especially if the injury is severe or results from repetitive wounding as is the case in most age spots. The wound does not heal for a variety of reasons and often appears as a small red spot on the skin. Age spots and PIH are simply the body making an "umbrella" of protection using melanin as its tool. To make it go away we need to heal the underlying chronic wound. That can be achieved with Osmosis by using products that repair DNA and oxidative damage.

Consider consulting with your physician or licensed skincare professional before embarking on a new treatment or skincare program. If you have any specific questions about these matters, consult a doctor or licensed skincare professional for a diagnosis and customized treatment plan.

Step 1: Purify - Apply to damp skin and lather. Rinse thoroughly. Use morning and evening.
Step 2: Rescue - Spot treat or apply to full face, let rest for 1-3 minutes before applying other serums.
Step 3: Vitamin A Serum mixed with DNA Repair Serum* - Mix 1-2 pumps of Vitamin A Serum and 1-2 pumps of DNA Repair Serum (shake bottle lightly first), then apply. Do this morning and evening. May layer instead of mixing.
Step 4: Clear / Clear Plus + - Spray 3-5 times directly onto skin after serum application and massage thoroughly. May repeat, if desired. It can also be used directly on irritated skin to calm it, if needed. Can be used at any point throughout the day to hydrate and promote skin wellness.
Step 5: Protect - Apply before sun exposure.
If using Enlighten - mix with Rescue to spot treat.
*If just starting on Osmosis, start by using serums once daily for the first week then increase amount as skin tolerates.
